I think almost everyone have tried using beauty products and hop to another, then hop to another. This is because, we cannot find satisfaction on the products we are using. I remember the first time I used commercialized beauty products. I was 14 years old and started to feel like, I need to make myself pretty and more presentable to others. So I bought a beauty product and it is the one who introduced me to pimples!! PIMPLES!!! Urgh!
Many of us are suffering from skin sensitivity caused by commercialized beauty products. But the ironic thing is that, we still keep on looking for other products only to find out that our skin is getting worse! Then why don’t you throw those products and go for the more economical way and chemical-free beautifying techniques? Here are some beauty recipes I would love to share:
Hair - Many people struggle with dry, hard to manage hair. It may result from too much washing, a dry environment, inadequate diet, harsh chemicals such as hair straightening, or by hot styling products such as heat iron or blow dryer. The good news is that some beauty recipes can help restore or re-hydrate your hair leaving it softer and shinier than ever.
1. Honey – Mix one tablespoon of honey and any type of oil (olive oil, corn oil, etc). Distribute mixture evenly all over hair.
2. Mayonnaise – Coat dry hair with mayonnais. Once finished, cover with a plastic shower cap and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner to wash off the smell.
3. Olive Oil - Apply olive oil all over your hair. Cover with a plastic bag and let it stay for 20 mintues. For extra conditioning, take a warm shower while waiting. The heat will help the oil work to its maximum potential.
Face – Everyone experience sensitive or dry skin on their face at one time or another. Diet, travelling, change of climate and skin care all affect our skin. By making a few changes in routine, skin can grealty be benefited. Learn this simple techniques and put your best face forward.
1. Egg – Press half a lemon and mix with egg white. Put it evenly on face. Do it once a week to moisturize, whiten, and soften your face.
2. Milk Mask – Moist some cotton wool with milk and rub it gently on face. Milk is a good face cleanser and can even use to take off make ups.
3. Avocado - Avocado is a naturally affluent moisturizer. Mush the meat of the avocado into a creamy texture. Massage into the face and neck. Leave on for 15 minutes and gently wash off.
Body – It is important to exfoliate our body to keep our skin looking and feeling soft, hydrated, and healthy. Body spas can be expensive but let me share you some ways to make your own body srub at home.
1. Sugar, salt, and olive oil – Mix sugar, salt and some olive oil and apply to wet skin. Olive oil is kinda hard to wash off but it surely makes your skin moisturized and soft.
2. Milk and salt – Mix fresh milk or a can of evap milk and iodize salt. Srub it all over body and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Do this once a week.
3. Coffee grounds, sugar, and massage oil – Creating coffee scrub is easy, beneficial and most of all, cheap! Not to mention that coffee has added benefits for your skin and body that many body scrubs do not provide. Mix three ingredients. Rub it to wet skin with circular motions. It helps to eliminate cellulite and varicous veins.
